I'm Dr S Rekha Reddy, a passionate Montessorian, educating children and training teachers in the Montessori method of education.
Vidyanjali Academy for Learning, my brainchild, started in 1992, is renowned for its Montessori Method of education. Ever since teaching and training as a Montessori teacher and teacher trainer in Vidyanjali.
I am excited to inspire teachers to enjoy the teaching-learning process and discover the child capable of creating his future.
I have trained four batches of teachers in Montessori Primary Diploma and two batches in Pre-primary Montessori Diploma, in association with Indian Institute for Montessori Studies. I have also conducted several Certificate Courses, workshops and seminars.
I have been conferred Doctorate for the thesis Play in early childhood education, a comparative study between Montessori and non-Montessori educational approaches, under Dr Prof Choodamani Nandagopal, a distinguished Art Historian from Jain University.
My books, Nanna Kannada Pustaka Bhaaga 1 & 2, My First Book, Meri Pehli Kitab, are widely used in Montessori and Traditional schools. I have translated Maria Montessori articles and a book, 'What you should know about your child', to Kannada published by Sapna Book House.
I believe Beautiful childhood leads to a beautiful world. I look forward to working with people related to children - the parents, teachers, grandparents, school administrators, principals, who make their world beautiful!

Sensitive Period for Order
At 2 years children are sensitive to the outer order and internalise. If that order is disturbed, children become restless. Once the children cross three years, they do not seem bothered by the “Order” much because they are no more sensitive to the order.
Save the Innocence
A study conducted by the Ministry of Women and Child Development showed that 53.22% of children face one or more forms of sexual abuse. That means one in every two children faces sexual abuse in India. World Health Organization declared that India has the World’s largest number of sexually abused children and statistically speaking, every 155th minute one child below16 years is raped, at every 13th hour a child below 10 years and concluded that one in every 10 children is sexually abused at any point of time.
Nothing is more Precious than Life!
This is the photo of Mouna, a beautiful, intelligent and young girl of 16, who hanged herself. She was the second one I knew to commit suicide in 2009. The first one was my niece Chaitra. While Mouna hanged herself Chaitra drank an insecticide. Both killed themselves for their Love!
Dr Maria Montessori – the Columbus
Montessori showed the world the treasure hidden in the child. In his book ‘Dr. Maria Montessori –Her Life and Work’ E.M. Standing compares Dr Maria Montessori to Columbus and says, “While Columbus discovered a world without, Dr Maria Montessori discovered the world within.” The world discovered by Dr Maria Montessori was a new world of children, which was different from the world that was known earlier.
