Mareyalaagada Mahabharata

In the second chapter of the podcast “Broken Promise” from Mareyalaagada Mahabharata, the story delves into the marriage of King Shanthanu and the river goddess Ganga. Shanthanu, mesmerized by Ganga’s beauty, agrees to her condition of never questioning her actions. Despite their happy union, Shanthanu is forced to witness Ganga mysteriously drown their newborn children one by one. Bound by his promise, he remains silent until the eighth child’s birth, when he can no longer endure the pain and confronts her. Ganga departs, leaving Shanthanu heartbroken and forever changed.
