Episode 19 – The Martyrdom of the Child

Vidyanjali, parenting

Episode 19 explores how compulsory education, despite its good intentions, often burdens children, affecting their health and happiness. The current education system has led to both physical and mental illnesses without addressing the root causes. Protective measures have been implemented, but the deeper issues remain unresolved.

Some believed that reducing the quantity and quality of education might ease children’s difficulties, but this approach resulted in a lack of knowledge and discipline. The chapter emphasizes that education must be rooted in freedom, self-development, and societal service. True freedom for a child lies in the joy of learning, achievement, and service. Understanding and respecting the laws of nature and society is crucial for promoting children’s well-being and development.

It is time for society to awaken its conscience and take responsibility for defending and liberating children in their educational journey. By doing so, education can transform into a source of pleasure rather than pain for our young ones.
